2012 Mazda CX-5

Like the CX-7, now well known despite a career quite shy, Mazda introduces its new weapon intended to conquer Europe. The Mazda CX-5 takes the dynamic styling of its big brother, but also draws inspiration from the beautiful concept cars Shinari and mining.

If the exterior styling is important, the atmosphere inside is just as important. The firm has relied Hiroshima as usual for a sports dashboard, but sober. The manufacturer claims have also refined the finish, which it is true, sometimes for improvement in the Japanese manufacturer.

Mazda also claims that the CX-5 has a large chest and leg room than the average. Two data that we shall soon to check on the occasion of a forthcoming detailed test.

Under the bonnet, the Mazda CX-5 introduces the new generation of mechanical SKYACTIV, that offer high performance for CO 2 emissions for the ridiculous category. Thus SKYACTIV-D 2.2 (two power levels) and SKYACTIV-G 2.0 should not exceed 120g/km! They will be available a choice of manual or a 6-speed automatic.

Available in two or four wheel drive, the new Mazda CX-5 receives a string of electronic aids to driving: alert system approach to vehicle (RVM), Smart City Brake Support (SCBC or using anti-collision urban mode) High-Beam Control (HBC or automatic low beam / high beam) and Lane Departure Warning (warning lane change).

Introduction planned in early 2012.
