PEUGEOT SR1 CONCEPT
This year, the PSA has been particularly prolific on the shores of Lake Geneva. Alongside the concept 5 by Peugeot , the SR1 Concept Peugeot sharing the honors. Logical one that reveals the new stylistic identity of the Lion.
Exit the gaping mouths and outrageous recent production house led by Jean-Pierre Ploué promoted to head of design of any PSA, Peugeot's future should return to much more elegance and finesse.
This is the case of this roadster which is clearly the minimalism with a streamlined grille to the extreme and sharp headlights that would give almost the false airs of Aston Martin.
Clearly borrowing of sportsmanship, the carrier does not play the card of one-upmanship aesthetic and that's good. The driver is in the center of attention with counters of science fiction, flying at an ovoid shape and ultra-worked paddles for the fun side.
Power side, the Peugeot SR1 Concept delivers a whopping 313 hp thanks to its two engines: the 1.6 THP petrol 218 hp at the front and an electric power of 95 hp placed him in the back, and able to move low-speed roadster independently.
Peugeot announces top-flight performance with 4.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h and 23.2 s to swallow the 1,000 m standing start, all with fuel consumption and CO 2 emissions limited to 4 respectively, 9 l/100 km and 119 g / km.
Another hopeful for the future: like bluffing Renault Laguna GT , the SR1 adopts rear wheel steering.
If the Peugeot SR1 concept is not expected progeny serial, no doubt that one will find many stylistic references on future models of the Lion.
