GUMPERT APOLLO ENRAGED
The German company Gumpert, known for its exclusive supercars and super-fast, will the international Geneva Motor Show 2012 once its two new items. Spies managed to photograph a new model of exit from the van in the backyard of the exhibition center Palexpo, where it is traditionally held the world's biggest auto event. On the stand under the number 2057 in the second hall of the pavilion German automaker will present its most powerful model - Gumpert Apollo R, and Apollo Enraged.
Gumpert Apollo Enraged will be an exclusive version of the familiar sports car, which will create a limited edition. According to the manufacturer, only to release only three of these cars and most of all, they've found their customers. From the usual, though also quite rare supercar Gumpert Apollo, a modification Enraged, which translates as "wrath," is particularly the exterior and interior trim, and most importantly - uprated engines. While on the production model 4.2-liter V8 petrol engine with two turbochargers produces 650 horsepower, the "charged" version it develops 780 horses, which makes the Apollo Enraged the fastest road car brand Gumpert. Dynamic characteristics of two-seat coupe remain unknown, but guessed that up to hundreds of such hypercar can be accelerated in less than 3 seconds and a top speed far from the mark will be over 350 km / h Appropriate changes were made in the braking system and suspension of the car. New price is still unknown, but in any case, it is higher than the initial 300,000 euros production model.
Another modification of the Gumpert Apollo R will be designed for the racetrack. This car was built with more use of carbon fiber, which provides a lower weight, along with high power. It turns out that even 780 horses - no limit on the 4.2-liter engine and a confirmation that the German engineers have squeezed out of it 860 horsepower. Gumpert Apollo R Racing will compete with the Italian hypercar Pagani Zonda R, moreover, he must beat his own record of North Loop famous German Nürburgring race track.
