PAGANI ZONDA R
The Italian luxury carmaker by Horacio Pagani has released the first pictures of the Zonda R - the racing version of the Zonda F . A real high-tech bullet is the Italian since succeeded: Each bolt is made of titanium, the driver is surrounded by a carbon-titanium monocoque and one from hardened chrome-molybdenum steel manufactured safety cell. An absolutely exclusive car: Only 16 units of the Zonda R will be built, 15 are for sale - but not necessarily for everyone.
The motorized Rennflunder (total height 1.14 meters) from a monstrous six-liter V12 from the Mercedes-AMG home. The unit, which is also the Mercedes CLK-GTR to use, provides 750 horsepower at 7500 rpm proud of the rear axle, with a maximum torque of 710 Nm. Placed on the asphalt, this brute force of Pirelli P Zero Zonda R slicks. Front of the rollers (255/35) mounted on 19-inch "APP" wheels, rear are on 20-inchers 335/30er gums. The whole floor is only 1070 kg heavy and dashes from a standstill in 2.7 seconds to 100 km / h. Who moves out of the last six speeds via rocker switch and a maximum delay of 20 milliseconds in the fully sequential gearbox, a low-level flight speed reaches more than 350 km / h. Provided the necessary courage, of course.
Whether any of the exclusive 15 vehicles ever participate in a race, or perhaps the little brother of Zonda F held lap record on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring is attempting to crack, but still in the stars.
