ASTON MARTIN VANTAGE GT 3

In addition to the V8 Vantage GT4, GT2, GT1 DBR9 and the most recent and unfortunate AMR LMP1-One , AMR will welcome in 2012 the Vantage GT3. Based on the model V12 Vantage road, it equips a specific dry sump lubrication, while its V12 6.0 has been positioned further back to facilitate the distribution of masses. It delivers in about 600 hp and 700 Nm, sent to the rear wheels via a carbon fiber shaft and a semi-automatic gearbox with paddle shift Xtrac.

Other features of the model run, ABS and traction control remain, but here are calibrated differently, so that the whole weighs only 1250 kg (against 1680 kg, 517 hp and 570 Nm to the coupe series) . Not to mention the body with aerodynamic prominent.

The Vantage GT3 has a block positioned closer to the ground and a shorter wheelbase, but is based on the same platform VH aluminum. Tests of the new GT3 will begin in October (almost 10 000 km should be traveled).
