The new 4.7-liter V8 engine has many similarities with the drive unit of the V12 Vantage road car and has a higher level of performance and more torque. Like the previous model - the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 of 2009 - the race car remains very close to production.
Aluminum body, engine and suspension were still extensively revised for use in motor sport. A premiere of a specially developed Bosch Motorsports ABS and traction control system, which has been optimized for racing, are used.
In the past two years, Aston Martin Racing has more than 80 models of the Vantage GT4 built and sold worldwide. The Vantage GT4 is one of the most successful racing cars in its class. Numerous victories go to his cap - among other things, there is also a separate brand, Aston Martin GT4 Challenge Cup of Great Britain. one can only wonder whether that model is so successful on the road.
