GUMPERT APOLLO HYBRID
Gumpert is like the Lexus LF-A to participate in the 36th ADAC Zurich 24h Race on the Nürburgring on the following month. Gumpert does this with a hybrid race car based on the eccentric Apollo. Apollo combines a very strong V8 engine with an electric motor.
The hybrid hot rod will be powered by a gasoline-fired 3.3-liter V8 engine with two turbos 630 hp pops out. It is also an electric motor with about 136 hp recharge itself during braking. Ex-Formula 1 driver Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Dirk Muller currently in the America Le Mans Series, driving, going about the Gumpert challenging circuit blow. Of course, the hope for a clear round. The two directors are going to compete with their Apollo fast race cars and German Porsche 911 GT3, Dodge Viper, BMW Z4, Chevrolet Corvette and the Lamborghini Gallardo.
